The purpose of this book was simple to me it is a guide for women to challenge themselves to always “rise above the fray†of the current environment we find ourselves in as a nation; to always implement their best qualities as women to succeed in any worthwhile endeavor; to speak their minds, as this is invaluable. Help other women and you help yourself. Passion has always fueled anything I have done, whether in my domestic life raising my three boys; my professional life as an entrepreneur; and now as an author of my third book. I feel a need to have my say as I get older (and supposedly wiser) and “spill it out†to try and make sense of my life experiences. I’d much rather be an involved observer and witness of history, if one can be that, and not just a bystander. I feel that would be a definition or punctuation of space and time. I have a hard time being an observer, per se; I must always, as my mother said, “put [my] two cents in.†It sometimes alienated my social acquaintances at dinner parties, but heck, I’ve always spoken my mind when it came to politics. I knew what the socially correct aspect of morality was. I have always known what was right and what was wrong, and I’ve never had a problem expressing these views. Never one to be suppressed, I ended up attending Washington D.C. dinner parties and finding myself with a minority opinion. This did not always happen; but I remember on one occasion I was adamant about “NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.†No one spoke. They all just looked at me like I was out of my head. History ended up writing that one, though, right? Just a Potomac housewife speaking her mind, with no formal political education, but a fierce passion for knowledge and understanding of our world. This has never left me. I also felt like all those people not participating were losing out on such an important debate. Debate. What a wonderful word. To learn two sides to an equation, WOW! Both people can participate and maybe learn from one another (or not). The purpose of this book was simple to me it is a guide for women to challenge themselves to always “rise above the fray†of the current environment we find ourselves in as a nation; to always implement their best qualities as women to succeed in any worthwhile endeavor; to speak their minds, as this is invaluable. Help other women and you help yourself. “Remember we should not only want to have equal rights as men, but by having those equal rights does not mean we are stymied to have more ability, input, and quality involving those rights. We should, by all means, reach to surpass and elevate above the norm that is Man. “-AMC
